MORSE PRINTER
Samuel Morse's patent already covered a means to print the received signal. Those printers were improved over time by several companies.
I have in my museum a Morse printer of the late 1800s, manufactured by Siemens & Halske of Berlin. It has a spring-driven clockwork to advance the paper strip, and a print wheel that moves up and down when the electromagnets are actuated. I have reconstructed the brass ink reservoir to exact specifications.
