GPO 332

The 332 became available in 1937 and was manufactured by ATE, GEC, Ericsson and Siemens Brothers. It was the dominant model in the UK for several decades. All components, including the bells, the capacitor and the induction coil fit inside a single bakelite housing. Most telephones had a pull-out drawer to hold a sheet with important numbers. The majority of the bodies were moulded from black bakelite, small quantities of ivory, jade green and Chinese red acrylic were also produced.
