MOTOROLA DYNATAC
DynaTAC is the name of a series of cellular telephones manufactured by Motorola Inc from 1983 to 1994. The first models were priced at $4000 in money of the day. The cellphones ran on the obsolete AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone System) analog network, operating around 850 MHz.
My DynaTAC is a later version, an UltraClassic, introduced in 1989. It has a 7.2V NiCd battery and weighs 530 grams. It powers up when charged, but it cannot be used without a network simulator.
