BELLSET 44

GPO bellset Nr44 is a successor of bellset Nr20. It consists of a telephone GPO Nr248 on top of a switch box, both made from bakelite. The switch box allows for 4 settings: speak to the exchange, speak to the extension, hold the exchange while speaking to the extension, and connect the extension to the exchange. The set has a built-in DC buzzer for local battery operation, but it requires an external bell for incoming calls from the exchange.
